Introduction to Robotics
Robotics is an engineering and computer science discipline concerned with the design, construction, operation, and application of robots. Robots are machines that can be programmed to perform a wide range of tasks, often in hazardous or inaccessible environments.
In a nutshell, robotics is the science of creating machines that can mimic human actions, sense their surroundings, and make decisions based on that data. This can range from simple robots that move on wheels and have a few sensors to complex robots that can walk, fly, or even swim and are outfitted with a plethora of sensors, cameras, and other equipment to assist them in carrying out their tasks.
